Openning ceremoney

I have not posted lately because I was really sick . Had a cold. It's Monday now and I ready to go. Yesturday Saturday was the opening ceremony for the Festivitist. The Mall was like a party atmospere, every when well there were thousands of people. Obama stayed through out all the concert. Because that is exactly what it was. We saw Tom Hank, Queen Latiffa, u2, Shakira, Stevy Wonder, Jamie Fox, Jorge Lopez, and many others.

The afternoon was very emotional and about 500,000 people. It was a blast. Can not wait till Tomorrow.

Today - Monday we went back to the Mall to check out the crowds. We had time to see the Pentagon from afar. The one I'm glad I saw was the Vietman Memorial. It is amazing how may young man died during this war. As I was walking through the exhibit the wasll kept getting bigger and bigger and more names were added on the Rock. I stood in front of a one of the monuments and was reading all the names in this particular stone . As I stood there reading a little girl sad," Mom here's grandpa's name" I felt like hugging her. Seeing this made me sad about the war that is going on today in Iraq. When I finally finished walking the exhibit I could not talk because if I did I would just start crying, this is how emotional it was walking down this exhibit.

After we continued to walk towards the Capital and I saw 2 feet away from me Martin Luther King Jr.III in person. He was on his way to go give an interview with CNN. Sergio and Maria came on CNN live.

Well we are going to the cabin, because we will be up at 2 in the morning to get a good spot for the main event. I will keep you posted . Bye.

More pictures have been posted.

Hey it's Saturday. Yesturday was an unbelievebla day. We took Metro to the Union Station, this is the biggest in the United states. In this station you may catch the Bullet Train, Amtrack and Metro and Also Bus transportation. After this we went to the Supreme court. It was amazing. We actually went into the actual Suprem Court Room. This was cool. Later we headed to the Capital Building. This build was very protected, armed guards were all over the place and they also had military police. We had the pleasure of eating lunch at the Capital Steps. The weather was tolerable at this time (20 degrees). Then we continued to the other side of the Capital and saw the actual Stage were OBama will take oath. In this part of the Capital the cold air was a lot colder, and it felt worst because there was cold winds.
We them proceded to go to the Archive Building and we saw the Constitution , Declaration of Independce and the bill of rights. It was amizing to see history .
After we just headed to the cabin and ate dinner and went to sleep. It was 10 degrees during the night. Oh, I forgot to mention that I am as sick(caught a cold).

The journey starts

Here we are at Union Station in Washington D.C. But let me tell you about our trip from home to DC. The first flight was very nice a lot of the passenger on the plane were on their way to different part of the East Coast also to Go to the Inauguration. The atmosphere on the waiting area and the plane was that of party. On the Lobby we met a lady Selling Obama buttons @ two dollars, so I picked up about 30|||||| I figure I can sell them on the Day of the Inauguration for maybe $5 to $6, this could pay for Maybe one dinner for the 4 of us. If my selling is not successful you know what I'm bringing Back. :):):)

Flight was very nice. We landed in Chicago were it was -4 degrees-That was cold. We waited on the floor two hours before we got on the next flight to Phili. People on this plane were quite. When we picked up our luggage the airline misplaced Eddie's luggage: And this was the most
important because he had all the utensils and food we were going to eat. Remember
we are economically challenged. We waited for about 1 1/2 hours and the luggage was on the
next flight. We got the rental call and it was freezing outside. We headed down 95 S. and we stopped to eat at Waffle House( this is a big thing, almost like an IHOP.
We got the cabin and it was 11 degrees very cold. So Mari and I slept in one bed with lots of cloth. check out the picture.

Today we finally made it to DC and Union Station is awesome. It's like a mall with in
a Bart station, train station, speed train. There were all types of people here.
So we are headed to the White House and the Supreme court. I
I have never done this before in my life time and although I am here with my family and friends,
I do dearly miss my kids and Hubby. Love you guys. (You know I'm getting teary eyed as
I'm writing these word. I Whish you guys were Here. See yaa.

Starting My Inauguration Blog

I'm so excited to be going to this historic event. We are getting ready as I am writing this message. The traveling is will be with two adults, and two high school students. Just seeing their excitement on their faces makes this trip worth while. I'll be reporting our experience as we go.
I'll introduce you to the crowd:
Adults: Liz , Eddie
Students: Sergio and Maria
So when I write about the experiences we are having and I mention their names, you will know who I'm talking about.
Thank you for all the support we have received from everybody. Talk to you later.
